Mushroom Spawn Production- A Successful Venture

Introduction:

Hard work with positive attitude is the prime force behind success as proved by the educated farmer, Mr. Nurul Islam of Keotkuchi village, about 20 KM away from Howly town in Barpeta district. He owns only 1 bigha of land including his residence. He earns his livelihood by serving as teacher in a private school at Keotkuchi village with a salary of Rs. 3000/- PM.

Success story on Women Empowerment through enterprise development

Miss Kobita Das, an orphan girl of 20 years living with her grandmother in a small hut at Sarbhog is a young, enthusiastic girl but could not continue her education after completion of HSLC examination due to poor economic condition of her grandmother. Day to day struggle for living makes Kobita matured enough to do anything for livelihood. Meanwhile, she has been selected by a local NGO for a three days training programme organized by KVK, Barpeta on tailoring in July 2010. It was the beginning of her journey towards self sufficiency.

Success story on Oyster Mushroom production

Hard work with positive attitude is the prime force behind the success of an entrepreneur as proved by a lady mushroom grower Mrs Subhadra Das of Fehurakhowa village under Chakchaka Development Block in Barpeta district of Assam. She was the member of Seuji Self Help Group established in the year 2010 at Fehurakhowa village. The sole income of the SHG was the interest  gained from micro credit to the members and the non-members of the SHG in the village Fehurakhowa and nearby villages.
